The 4th edition of Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer reflects not only changes in the NFPA® 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications but also in the IFSTA approach to manual development. Company Officer (4th edition) is divided into two parts, each based on the appropriate Fire Officer Levels I and II. This division makes it easier for the student to read and the instructor to teach. Appendices, glossary, and a list of suggested readings are also parts of the new manual. Visually, the new manual contains changes in the chapter title pages. Divider pages introduce each chapter with a list of the NFPA® job-performance requirement (JPR) numbers addressed in the chapter, learning objectives, and a list of chapter contents.
